Licensed Clinical Psychologist with Specialized Training in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dr. Harari is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for a range of disorders, including depression, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, insomnia, and trichotillomania. She also works with clients with a variety of life issues, including managing difficult relationships, problems with communication and assertiveness, emotion regulation challenges, life changes, and other stressors.
She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and her MA and PhD from St. John’s University. Her pre-doctoral training included externships and internship at local New York hospitals- Nassau University Medical Center, Queens Hospital Center, and Maimonides Medical Center. Her post-doctoral fellowship at the Westchester Center for Cognitive Therapy (WCCT) provided her with specialized training and experience in CBT for a range of disorders in children, adolescents and adults. After several years on faculty at WCCT, she opened a private practice focusing on working with adults, currently located in Brooklyn and midtown Manhattan.
In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as an adjunct clinical supervisor at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where she supervises graduate students on their clinical work. This role allows her to stay actively engaged with current research and emerging clinical approaches, which she integrates into her work with patients. She has also been invited to speak on mental health issues in varied settings.
In her spare time, Dr. Harari enjoys spending time with her family, hiking beautiful vistas, lounging on the beach, and hosting elaborate meals for friends and family.
